◤Knitting
Knitting is likely the most known example of fiber arts. In this activity, you use two "knitting needles" to make hooks/loops to hold yarn together.
❖ Tutorial: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/408809161
◤Crochet
In crochet, you use a hook to loop yarn together. You can then stuff your creations with fluff and create... Anything! It is also a very well-known form of fiber arts.
❖ Tutorial: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/448987126/
◤Latch Hook
Using a "Latch Hook," you can create rugs with small strands of yarn! You use a grid of open squares to attach the yarn.
❖ Tutorial: (None)
◤Weaving
In this form of fiber arts, you cross perpendicular strands of yarn or string to create squares/rectangles. You can practice weaving with a machine, or entirely with our hands! (And a bit of extra equipment.)
❖ Tutorial: (None)
◤Embroidery
In embroidery, you use a needle to stitch yarn through a thin sheet of fabric. You can use different colors and practically draw with thread!
❖ Tutorial: (None)
◤Finger Knitting
Finger knitting is a unique way of knitting (see above) that requires just your fingers! You create loops around each finger and manipulate the yarn in a way similar to knitting!
❖ Tutorial: (None)
